Mark Edwards



Mark Edwards has held almost every position possible in the hospitality, travel and tourism business, on land, on water, on both East and West Coasts and everywhere in between. He has coordinated events, developed and implemented strategic marketing initiatives, directed sales teams, managed and monitored multi-million dollar budgets, and he has excelled particularly in staff development and continuing hospitality industry education arenas. Operationally, Mark has spearheaded major resort renovations, managed daily event operations for world-class resorts, directed and met sales goals for complex membership programs, implemented e-commerce efforts and has even created a yacht club. His passion is customer service and satisfaction. His extensive experience includes success with Holiday Inn, Hilton, Marriott, Sitmar Cruises, Disney, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and ClubCorp. He is the driving force and visionary behind Crystal Hospitality.

Laura Girdner


Marketing and Graphic Design

From conception to delivery, Laura creates custom, compelling designs. She has worked with companies across the United States to create or improve their brand and communicate who they are through beautiful design.  Laura believes every project starts with a thorough understanding of a company's identity and goals.  She spends time getting to know her clients and their respective markets inside and out to ensure their message is communicated effectively and they stand out from their competition.  In today's ever evolving digital marketplace, Laura stays up to date with the latest technology and online marketing strategies to stay ahead of the curve.


Laura and her husband Matthew Girdner own Girdner Graphic Design based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where they provide a multitude of design services including logo design, print collateral, website design, and email marketing.

Scott Barnhill


A Carolinas resident his entire life, Scott now resides on Hilton Head Island with his wife and son. Scott has had extensive sales experience in the resort market, starting out at Kiawah Island, SC, where he learned the resort industry from the inside, working in reservations, at the front desk, and as the computer operations supervisor for the resort. Scott moved to private development sales in real estate in Lake Wylie, SC, then to general brokerage and new home sales in Charleston, SC in the late 80’s. Moving to Hilton Head in 1995, Barnhill entered the private club market at Daufuskie Island in the membership/real estate sales division and spent 15 years in sales on Daufuskie Island. In 2010 he moved to Sea Pines Resort with Lighthouse Realty promoting both Daufuskie Island and Hilton Head Island. Scott brings an expertise in not only sales, but in relationship development and creating client loyalty and trust to Crystal Hospitality Consulting.

Jeff Ulm


Born in Queens, NY Jeff has proven to play a pinnacle role in the development of the W.E.L.L. program. With his fifteen years of marketing experience and his background in the food and beverage industry Mr. Ulm has an understanding that "Customer Service" is key to survival for any business but especially true for the hospitality industry. Today this is more true than any time before. With the usage of the internet and customer service grading through sites such as Travelocity and Expedia it is imperative that customer service be at the forefront for any hospitality group. Mr. Ulm will help your business identify the issues and along with the Crystal Hospitality team implement the W.E.L.L. program and create a lasting training program that starts from the top and works it's way to the front line professional.

David Zunker


 David Zunker is a hands-on executive who has experience as a CEO, president, vice president, director and manager for resorts, city convention and tourism bureaus and state tourism offices. He is well versed in for-profit and not-for-profit business practices, trained in traditional and new media, fiscally accountable, adaptable to fast-paced environments and flexible in a variety of cultures. He has proven himself able to negotiate complex business challenges and make high-stakes decisions using experienced judgement. He motivates, mentors and leads by empowerment and accountability. Specialties: marketing, destination sales, event planning, destination development, board management, hospitality, travel and tourism management and marketing.


Terry LeMiere


Terry Lemiere has more than 20 years of sales, marketing and management experience in the hospitality industry. Her special areas of expertise include working with upscale hotels, resorts, country clubs, private event venues, and with meetings and incentives travel management organizations. She has lived and worked in major hospitality markets on both the East and West Coasts. Terry has an in-depth understanding of this market from both the company and customer perspective. She has focused on the development and implementation of sales and marketing programs for single and multi-property revenue generation. Her experience has enabled her to design and customize plans that are cost-effective and profitable to the company, while achieving excellence in customer satisfaction. Terry's business portfolio includes companies such as Club Corp, Aramark Enteertainment, Carlson-Rezidor and Bonneville Travel Management.

Gary Harber


Gary is a highly-skilled software development professional bringing more than 30 years in software design, development and integration, specializing in data collection, management and analysis. He has worked as a developer in the industry of government, medical, the music industry, construction and retail, to name a few, providing online solutions for reporting and managing financials, sales, inventory, pre-production, shipping, contact management, automated messaging and VoIP services.
